NEW YEAR’S AM SUNRISE SANGHA GATHERING

Cape Sangha’s James Kershner invites everyone to celebrate the New Year by watching the first sunrise from the top of Fort Hill in the Cape Cod National Seashore in Eastham at dawn on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. Sunrise is at 7:07 a.m. but the light show begins about 6:35. Dress warmly and bring hot beverages! The entrance to Fort Hill is 1.5 miles beyond the Orleans Rotary on Route 6. It takes about half an hour to get there from the Mid-Cape area. After the sunrise, those who choose to can gather (around 7:30) at the Homeport Restaurant, in the Friends Marketplace, 55 Main Street, Orleans, MA 02653.
