Insight Meditation Circle of Cape Cod
A welcoming community rooted in Buddhist wisdom, open to all. We gather weekly to meditate, learn, and support each other in bringing greater peace and compassion into daily life.
"Through the sharing of the Dharma we can free ourselves and others from suffering." — IMC Cape Cod Mission
Who We Are
We are a community of people on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, who practice insight meditation to support each other in deepening Dharma practice in our daily lives. We hope our practice will promote peace and compassion in the world around us.
We are a peer-led community Buddhist group whose practices originate in the teachings of Theravadan Buddhism — but one need not identify as a Buddhist to participate. We welcome people from any faith tradition, or none at all.
Right Speech
"When we meet together to discuss any topic, our comments must be respectful, timely, truthful, and helpful."
Our Sangha is guided by a council of elected volunteers — the Guiding Council — who coordinate weekly meditations, Dharma talks, book discussions, and seasonal retreats.
Gather With Us
Join us every Tuesday, 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Our format features a 30-minute meditation followed by a discussion of a Buddhist book or Dharma article. All are welcome, including newcomers.

The Insight Meditation Circle of Cape Cod is happy to once again offer two 3-hour Buddhism-in-a-Nutshell sessions. The first session will be Saturday, April 11th, 1:00–4:00 PM. The second session will be in May or early June.
These sessions offer a calm, non-sectarian introduction to Buddhist ideas and practices — covering who the Buddha was and what he taught about suffering and how to eliminate it from our lives. Suitable for beginners and those with more experience alike.
